Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the Sudarshan Setu, India’s longest cable-stayed bridge, which is able to join the Okha mainland to the Beyt Dwarka island in Gujarat on Sunday. The Sudarshan Setu, often known as Okha-Beyt Dwarka Signature Bridge, was constructed at a value of roughly Rs 980 crore. It’s 2.5 km lengthy and carries super significance for inhabitants and pilgrims visiting the famed Dwarkadhish Temple.

Know About Sudarshan Setu
- The Sudarshan Setu, which connects the Okha mainland with Beyt Dwarka island, is projected to enhance regional connectivity.
- The Sudarshan Setu is India’s longest cable-stayed bridge, with photo voltaic panels put in on the highest sections of the sidewalk that generate one megawatt of energy.
- The four-lane bridge consists of 2.50-metre-wide sidewalks on either side.
- In October 2017, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the cornerstone for the bridge.
- The Sudarshan Setu was constructed at Rs 978 crore.
- The Sudarshan Setu has a pathway with phrases from the Bhagavad Gita and photos of Lord Krishna on either side.
- Previous to the completion of the Okha-Beyt Dwarka Signature Bridge, pilgrims needed to journey by boat to go to the Dwarkadhish Temple in Beyt, Dwarka.

Except for the Sudarshan Setu, Prime Minister Modi will even inaugurate Gujarat’s first All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Rajkot on Sunday. This might be one among 5 AIIMS to be opened by the Prime Minister in Rajkot.
The prime minister would launch tasks value ₹48,000 crore throughout state and nationwide ministries, together with NHAI, railways, electrical energy, petrochemicals, roads, and buildings.
