The Opposition BJP in Karnataka staged a protest demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday after a Particular Court docket in Bengaluru ordered a Lokayukta police investigation into his involvement within the Mysuru City Growth Authority (MUDA) web site allotment case. Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar dismissed the protest as mere political theatrics and accused the BJP of making an attempt to fire up pointless controversy. “That is all a political drama. There are lots of instances towards BJP leaders and central ministers. Have any of them resigned? There isn’t any want for the Chief Minister to step down. Your entire get together, from Delhi to the grassroots, stands united with him,” Shivakumar mentioned, affirming that there was no query of Siddaramaiah resigning over the matter.
