Parliament Winter Session: The federal government is planning to introduce two payments in Parliament on Tuesday for reservation of 33 per cent seats for ladies within the assemblies of Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Puducherry, information company PTI reported, citing sources.
In September, the Parliament handed the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam to offer reservation of one-third of seats for ladies in Lok Sabha and Assemblies. The Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam shall come into impact after a delimitation train is undertaken in 2029.
There are 30 meeting constituencies in Puducherry whereas in Jammu and Kashmir, after the delimitation, the whole seats within the meeting rose to 114 seats, out of which 24 seats are designated for areas that fall below Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir.
Other than girls reservation payments, each Homes of Parliament are slated to take up essential payments on the ninth day of the Winter Session, as Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal is to maneuver the Chief Election Commissioner and different Election Commissioners (Appointment, Circumstances of Service and Time period of Workplace) Invoice, 2023, within the Rajya Sabha for consideration and passage to control the appointment, circumstances of service and time period of workplace of the Chief Election Commissioner and different Election Commissioners, and the process for transaction of enterprise by the Election Fee.
Meghwal may also transfer the Repealing and Amending Invoice, 2023, within the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday for consideration and passage to repeal sure enactments and amend an enactment. The Invoice was earlier handed by the Lok Sabha.
In the meantime on Monday, the Rajya Sabha handed two payments offering reservation to the Kashmiri Pandit migrants and displaced folks from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) within the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Meeting. Each the payments — the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation (Modification) Invoice, 2023, and the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Modification) Invoice, 2023 — have been handed by the Lok Sabha on December 6.
Residence Minister Amit Shah, throughout a dialogue within the Rajya Sabha, stated, “Earlier there have been 37 seats in Jammu, now after the brand new delimitation fee, there are 43 seats. Earlier there have been 46 in Kashmir, now there are 47.”
