New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) performed searches at eight areas in Kolkata and the North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal on Saturday. The operation was a part of an ongoing probe into the alleged forging of domicile paperwork throughout the recruitment for the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).
As per PTI, the investigation, initiated on the orders of the Calcutta Excessive Court docket in August, to look into the allegations that a number of candidates had been recruited illegally within the armed forces and the CAPFs by way of solid domicile certificates purportedly displaying them to be from border areas, thus getting by at decrease cut-off marks.
