Revanth Reddy claimed that the present authorities enacted “black farm legal guidelines,” fostered unemployment, and sought to divide India between North and South. He argued that, not like the present administration, Congress traditionally maintained a “Gentleman’s Settlement” by electing a President from South India if the Prime Minister was from the North, fostering nationwide unity. “That’s why we had Presidents like Neelam Sanjiva Reddy and APJ Abdul Kalam from the South,” he acknowledged.
