Former Overseas Secretary Vinay Kwatra has been named India’s ambassador to the USA. The Ministry of Exterior Affairs (MEA) introduced on Friday that Kwatra is predicted to take up his new function shortly. This appointment fills the emptiness left by Taranjit Sandhu, who retired in January.

Vinay Kwatra’s Diplomatic Profession So Far
Kwatra’s distinguished profession within the Indian Overseas Service (IFS) started in 1988. His early assignments included serving at India’s Everlasting Mission in Geneva.
